Therapeutic Solutions International with Subsidiary Campbell Neurosciences Develops Cord Blood Based Inhalable Product for Opioid Addiction

Company Announces Second Therapeutic Candidate for Leveraging Regenerative and Immunological Approaches for Overcoming > $78.5 Billion Dollar Addiction Epidemic

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 67713.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, April 13, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced filing of a patent with new data covering a cord blood based intranasal product demonstrated to reduce adverse mental effects associated with opioid addiction.

In the series of studies, inflammation was stimulated in the brains of animals using inducers and activators of TLR4, a protein associated with opioid addiction. Administration of the Company's cord blood based therapeutic resulted in suppression of TLR4 as well as inhibition of inflammation in the brain.

"In recent times numerous publications have reported the link between brain inflammation and opioid addiction1,2" said Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of Campbell Neurosciences. "By combining the regenerative effects of umbilical cord blood, with the anti-inflammatory properties of NanoStilbeneä, together with proprietary neuromodulating agents, we have created a treatment approach which appears to be safe and potently effective in our preclinical studies."

"Campbell Neurosciences is focused not just on identifying suicidal ideations utilizing our clinically validated Campbell Score™ blood-based test, but also on providing possible solutions to prevent suicide," said Kalina O'Connor, President and CEO of Campbell Neurosciences. "The announcement of preclinical success using our cord blood based approach sets the foundation for optimization and development of a clinically-useful approach to treat this dreaded disease."

"Current approaches to drug addiction many times involve replacing one addiction with another one, while not addressing the root cause," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of Therapeutic Solutions International, the Parent Company of Campbell Neurosciences and co-inventor of the patent. "We are glad to lend our immunological expertise to Campbell Neurosciences for the development of the world's first immunotherapeutic approach to opioid addiction."

Therapeutic Solutions International Spin-Off Campbell Neurosciences Identifies Mechanism of Action for Umbilical Cord Blood Derived NarcoStem™ Drug Rehabilitation Product

Company Demonstrates Key Role for "Endogenous Nerve Repair Compound" in Mediating Therapeutic Activities of Novel Regenerative Approach

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 71379.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, April 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced today data implicating a key role in the protein Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) in the therapeutic activities of NarcoStem™, an umbilical cord blood derived biologic demonstrated to possess positive animal data in preclinical models of addiction and drug induced brain damaged.

"It is saddening that what many consider to be cutting edge approaches to treatment of drug addiction is simply replacement of one harmful drug with another drug," stated Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of Therapeutic Solutions International and Top Doctor of San Diego. "I am proud to work with TSOI and with Campbell Neurosciences at creating a therapy that concurrently reduces brain inflammation, suppresses addiction associated urges, while at the same time repairs damaged nerve tissue. This is not something that ketamine, CBD, or psilocybin are capable of doing. Demonstration that BDNF mediates therapeutic activities of NarcoStem™ helps accelerate the timeline for clinical translation of this inhalable therapeutic."

BDNF is considered a "master molecule" in controlling brain function and has been reported by numerous groups to associate with efficacy of anti-depressants, as well as the ability to overcome addictive tendencies. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to provide recombinant BDNF directly into the brain due to its size and half live. Accordingly, preliminary data by the Company suggests that administration of NarcoStem™ can directly stimulate the brain to produce its own BDNF.

"The recent successes in obtaining positive clinical data for both the Campbell Score and the Kaihani Score pushes us to initiate creation of therapeutic approaches to actually intervene at suicidal ideations and conditions predisposing to these conditions," said Kalina O'Connor, President and CEO of Campbell Neurosciences. "It is fundamentally important that we know the mechanisms of action for our products and we are extremely satisfied at the "Warp Speed" that our scientists have been working on to generate this exciting data."

"The staggering rise in drug addiction, as well as the disturbing news that as many as 1 out of 3 post-covid patients will suffer neurological manifestations, is very strong rationale for our 'hyper-acceleration,' in developing regenerative approaches to neurological issues," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of TSOI. "We look forward to continuing our collaborations with internationally renowned scientists dedicated to utilizing modern day approaches to solve this age-old curse of drug addiction."

Therapeutic Solutions International Reports Regression of Established Tumors by Combining its Cancer Blood Vessel Targeting Immunotherapy with Low Dose Chemotherapy

Unexpected Efficacy in Reduction of Melanoma, Glioma, and Lung Cancer Models Supports Company's Rational for Advancing its Stem Cell Derived Platform to Multi-Cancer Clinical Trials

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 76645.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, April 26, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced today new data demonstrating an unexpected synergy between its inducible pluripotent stem cell (StemVacs-V iPSC) derived immunotherapy product with low dose cyclophosphamide in evoking potent immune mediated cancer regression.

In a series of experiments, the Company demonstrated that its previously announced stem cell derived tumor endothelial-like cell vaccine1 enabled non-toxic doses of cyclophosphamide, an established chemotherapeutic agent, to induce significant reduction of established lung cancers, brain cancers, and skin cancers in animal models. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that reduction of tumors was associated with increased infiltration of immune cells.

"Previous companies, such as Batu Biologics, have demonstrated the clinical safety of using the immune system to selectively kill the blood vessels that feed cancer2, which was validated by FDA clearance3 to initiate clinical trials," said Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of the Company. "As a physician who sees firsthand the suffering of cancer patients caused by current chemotherapy protocols, the thought of leveraging the patient's own immune system to allow for increased efficacy with reduced toxicity is extremely exciting."

"From a business perspective, one of the significant hurdles preventing advancement in cancer therapeutics is lack of interdisciplinary collaboration," said Famela Ramos, Vice President of Business Development. "The demonstration that our immunotherapy possesses ability to potentiate anticancer activities of existing therapeutics, thus allowing for utilization of lower doses while retaining efficacy, is a game changer in my opinion."

"The idea that killing tumor blood vessels weakens cancer, and thus allows for lower doses of chemotherapy to be effective is very attractive. This concept has been validated in clinical trials which involved combinations of chemotherapy with the antiangiogenic activities of the monoclonal antibody drug Avastin," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of the Company. "Based on side-to-side comparisons, our stem cell based immunotherapy appears substantially more efficacious in inducing immune mediated "choking" of the tumor blood supply and demands deeper investigation."

Therapeutic Solutions International Comes to Agreement with FDA on Clinical Trial Design for First Stem Cell Clinical Trial in Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Patients

Company to Address Minor Comments from FDA Before Initiating Clinical Trial

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 81061.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, April 30, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced today receipt of a written communication from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding its Investigational New Drug (IND) application, which was granted number 27377.

"We are pleased that the FDA has thoroughly reviewed our proposed clinical trial and agrees with us that chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a valid disease indication for potential therapeutic intervention," stated Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of the Company and Top Doctor of San Diego. "Classically, the perception is that CTE can only be diagnosed post-mortem. The fact that the FDA is open to allowing our protocol, with minor changes, strongly supports development of regenerative-based approaches for this terrible condition."

The FDA requested several changes to the IND and clarifications centered around manufacturing, delivery, and monitoring of the cellular product before patient treatment can be initiated.

In regard to recognition of CTE as a valid clinical indication, the FDA stated, "To limit the number of subjects being exposed to unknown but potentially significant risk(s), please modify your protocol to include an appropriate staggering period between consecutive subjects for the first several subjects." Additionally, the FDA requested that the Company potentially exclude pediatric patients and patients unable to provide proper informed consent.

"To our knowledge, we are the only entity actively developing regenerative based therapeutics for CTE through legitimate regulatory pathways," said Famela Ramos, Vice President of Business Development. "Society enjoys the entertainment of modern-day gladiators (football players) and the freedom and security afforded to us by our military. Unfortunately, these brave individuals are forgotten once they develop mental issues which are caused as a result of their occupation."

"As a Company, we are pleased that the FDA is open to our parameters for classifying CTE while patients are pre-mortem," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of the Company. "Based on the experiences of our clinical team and advisors, we are confident in responding to the FDA's questions in a timely manner."

Therapeutic Solutions International Subsidiary Campbell Neurosciences Reports Positive Preclinical Data in Animal Model of Schizophrenia Using Proprietary Universal Donor Mesenchymal Stem Cell

Company Aims to Using Immunological Based Regenerative Medicine Treatment for Schizophrenic Patients Resistant to Electroconvulsive Therapy

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 87400.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, May 10, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), and its subsidiary Campbell Neurosciences announced today new data covered by its previously filed patents supporting the use of mesenchymal based stem cell therapy for schizophrenia.

Using an established animal model, the Company demonstrated intravenous doses of stem cells, as well as proprietary cord blood derived modified monocytes, could reduce behavioral abnormalities associated with schizophrenia, as well as stimulate neurogenesis.

"The only effective treatment for advanced schizophrenia is electroconvulsive therapy, whose effects are believed to be stimulated by enhanced production of the growth factor BDNF, as well as stimulation of new neuron formation" said Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of TSOI. "Our data suggests similar effects may be induced by stem cell administration, which appears to possess a significantly superior safety profile than giving patients shocks with ultra-high voltage."

Schizophrenics appears to possess an immunological component given the abnormal inflammation and immune response skewing that occurs in these patients in the brain and the periphery. The Company is working towards filing with the FDA an Investigational New Drug (IND) application to administer the stem cells in patients who are non-responsive to electroconvulsive therapy.

"Schizophrenia is one of the top causes of suicide and as a rule, patients with schizophrenia appear to score six times higher on average than normal healthy individuals on the Campbell Score," said Kalina O'Connor, President and CEO of Campbell Neurosciences. "We are thankful for our investors who provided necessary funds to initiate this important work. Work that we believe will change the way schizophrenia is addressed globally."

"As stated in our previous press release regarding current FDA discussions on stem cells and CTE, we believe that the Company has positioned itself in understanding the FDA process. This will allow us to file and clear multiple INDs," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of Therapeutic Solutions International and Founder of Campbell Neurosciences. "We are encouraged and excited by the great support we have been having in providing the first stem cell based approach for mental illness."

Therapeutic Solutions International and Campbell Neurosciences Announce Preclinical Studies Showing Low Doses of FDA Cleared Immune Stimulant Interleukin-2 Reduces Inflammation Associated Depression in Animal Model

Suicide Prevention Company Rapidly Expanding Pipeline on Immunotherapy of Psychiatric Conditions

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 92421.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, May 17, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced today preclinical data utilizing low doses of the FDA cleared therapeutic interleukin-2 in treatment of inflammation induced depression in an animal model.

The experiments, which are covered in a patent application, demonstrate that low doses of interleukin-2 reduce depressive behavior, which is dependent on a newly identified cellular mechanism.

Given that interleukin-2 at higher doses is approved by the FDA for treatment of melanoma and renal cell cancer, the Company believes that clinical development of this novel approach to depression may possess less regulatory hurdles than other product candidates.

"At Campbell Neurosciences our focus is to create a world in which suicide is a thing of the past," said Kalina O'Connor, President and CEO of Campbell Neurosciences. "The data disclosed today, and the associated patent application are a significant step for our Company in not only detecting suicidal propensities but also having pipeline products for treatment."

Campbell Neurosciences recently announced validation in a clinical trial of its "Campbell Score™" a blood-based test capable of assessing suicidal ideations in a quantitative manner.

"These recent data are an example of the synergistic partnership between Therapeutic Solutions International and Campbell Neurosciences," said Famela Ramos, Vice President of Business Development of Therapeutic Solutions International. "Interleukin-2 is a cancer immunotherapeutic drug that through collaboration we found a novel use in neurology. By continuing to work outside of the box, we strive to rapidly develop novel approaches to the second largest cause of death in young people: suicide."

"Watching the rapid progress of Kalina O'Connor and her team at Campbell Neurosciences is truly inspiring," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of Therapeutic Solutions International. "Instead of repositioning potentially dangerous approaches such as ketamine or psychedelic drugs for treatment of depression, the data disclosed today reveals a truly novel research direction to addressing one of the biggest scourges of COVID-19 society: depression. We are excited to watch the clinical translation of this new brain medicine which we call immunotherapy of psychiatry."

Therapeutic Solutions International Develops Novel Stem Cell Based Therapy to Reduce Lung Scarring: Potential Solution to Post COVID-19 Lung Deterioration

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 96796.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, May 21, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced today new data and patent filing demonstrating that the FDA cleared drug, lithium carbonate, substantially augments the scar inhibiting activity of its licensed JadiCell™ universal donor stem cell therapy. Furthermore, the data reveals that the JadiCell™ was superior to other stem cells at inhibiting development of lung scarring in the bleomycin model of pulmonary fibrosis.

"After patients recover from COVID-19 approximately one-third of those who were hospitalized develop long-term scarring of the lung,1" said Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of the Company. "There are no known treatments for this condition, and in some cases its progression leads to continuous deterioration in lung function. We are currently developing the JadiCell™ for treatment of acute lung failure. The data disclosed today suggests the possibility of expanding the use of JadiCell™ to address post-COVID lung failure, a condition which appears to be rising exponentially."

The use of JadiCells for treatment of lung pathology and COVID-19 is exclusively licensed and owned by Therapeutic Solutions International. In an FDA double blind, placebo controlled clinical trial the JadiCell™ was successful at substantially improving survival in end-stage patients with COVID-19 associated acute lung failure2. Specifically, treatment was associated with significantly improved patient survival (91% vs 42%, P = .015), Serious Adverse Event-free survival (P = .008), and time to recovery (P = .03). The Company plans to initiate a phase III pivotal registration trial and seek marketing approval for use of JadiCell in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and other lung diseases.

"There are at least 660,000 patients suffering from post-COVID lung fibrosis if you look at the CDC statistics reporting over 2,000,000 COVID-19 related hospitalizations,3" stated Famela Ramos, Vice President of Business Development for the Company. "To our knowledge Therapeutic Solutions International is the only Clinical Stage Cell Therapy company aggressively addressing not only the acute lung failure associated with COVID-19, but also its long-term consequences."

"The findings reported today are an excellent example of the cross-fertilization occurring between our Company and our Spin-off Campbell Neurosciences," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of Therapeutic Solutions International. "Who would have thought that a neurological acting drug, lithium carbonate, which is sold under the names Lithobid® and Eskalith®, would have such potent ability to program stem cells to reduce scarring? These sorts of discoveries are only possible when scientific groups of diverse interest are brought together and provided resources to let their imagination run rampant."

Therapeutic Solutions International Optimizes Targeting the "Achilles Heel" of Cancer Using Second Generation Tumor Endothelial Targeting Vaccine StemVacs-V iPSC

New Data Covering Optimized Immunological Adjuvants Filed in Patent as Company Moves Towards FDA IND Application

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 97580.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, May 24, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), announced today new data demonstrating synergy between the Company's tumor blood vessel killing vaccine, StemVacs-V iPSC and specific immunological adjuvants.

The data is part of a package being developed that the Company will send to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as part of its planning for an Investigational New Drug (IND) filing. Additionally, the data was incorporated in a patent application filed today.

"The utilization of the immune response to selectively kill tumor blood vessels was demonstrated by Companies such as Batu Biologics, who obtained FDA clearance to stimulate immunity in patients using placentally derived material1. Additionally, published human and animal data showing signals of efficacy and safety using the first-generation approach2,3" said Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of Therapeutic Solutions International and co-inventor. "Unfortunately, previous approaches were characterized by need for multiple donors and the possibility of batch-to-batch variation. The StemVacs-V iPSC product represents a second-generation vaccine which utilizes only one donor and is being optimized to induce superior potency and reproducibility."

StemVacs-V iPSC is a cellular product generated from a standardized inducible pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) which is differentiated into cells that resemble blood vessels which feed the tumor. Additionally, StemVacs-V iPSC expresses the alpha1,3-galactosyltransferase gene which causes the cells to express to Gal alpha 1-3Gal beta-4-GlcNAc (alpha Gal). Alpha Gal is one of the most potent immune stimulating molecules in nature, evoking one of the most powerful immune responses known to man.

"We have learned from our previous experiences, as well as the experiences of our colleagues, that inducing permanent remission of tumors will not occur through a "magic bullet" approach" said Famela Ramos, Vice President of Business Development. "Accordingly, we and our collaborators have identified several synergistic approaches, for which we have filed intellectual property, that will increase our chances of optimal therapeutic outcome once we enter clinical trials."

"At Therapeutic Solutions International we are constantly seeking to perfect our therapeutic approaches because we are realistic. Many times, cancer therapeutics that work in mice do not work in humans but you have to start somewhere" said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of the Company and co-inventor. "This is why we strive to perfect the efficacy of our approaches as much as possible in preparation for clinical trials. We are committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients."

Therapeutic Solutions International Subsidiary Campbell Neurosciences Identifies T Regulatory Cells as a Mechanism of Stem Cell Suppression of Schizophrenia Pathology in an Animal Model

Company Addresses Scientific Studies as it Prepares for FDA Filing to Treat Major Cause of Suicide with Adult Stem Cells

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 03857.html

ELK CITY, Idaho, June 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Therapeutic Solutions International, Inc., (OTC Markets: TSOI), reported today a series of experiments, covered by its >1000 claim patent application filed in September 2020, which demonstrate stem cell activity against schizophrenia is associated with T regulatory cell induction.

The experiments demonstrated that mice, which responded to stem cell therapy possessed increased levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-4 and interleukin-10, as well as augmented levels of cells expressing FoxP3, a marker characteristic of T regulatory cells. Depletion of T regulatory cells was capable of reducing some of the symptoms of schizophrenia in mice.

"Schizophrenia is one of the biggest predisposing factors to suicide, we at Campbell Neurosciences vow to work diligently and effectively to make schizophrenia a thing of the past," said Kalina O'Connor, President and CEO of Campbell Neuroscience. "I am thankful to our scientific team and collaborators who are working at breakneck speed to obtain as much data as possible so that we may file an investigational new drug (IND) application with the FDA to initiate clinical trials."

"This data strongly supports immunological involvement in schizophrenia, a condition that despite affecting approximately 1% of the population, is still treated in a very empirical manner with little understanding of the molecular mechanisms of the disease, or the currently used treatments," said Dr. James Veltmeyer, Chief Medical Officer of the Company. "We are hoping to use the immunomodulatory properties of adult stem cells to alter several neurological abnormalities that we and others have identified in schizophrenia. To our knowledge, we are the only group utilizing immunology and stem cells to approach this horrific condition."

"This is exciting data and a prime example of the great synergy between our spin-off, Campbell Neurosciences and Therapeutic Solutions," said Timothy Dixon, President and CEO of Therapeutic Solutions International and co-inventor. "By cross-pollinating our work in immunology and neurology, we are making new discoveries at an incredibly rapid pace and we plan on translating these into patents, IND's, and eventually new medicines to treat patients with terrible condition like schizophrenia and cancer."
